The West Kent Partnership is developing a West Kent Investment Strategy. This will set out some clear challenges to strategic agencies, businesses and other stakeholders in West Kent.

The West Kent Partnership continued in 2009 as sponsor for the Best Growing Business category of the West Kent Business Awards.
About the 2009 West Kent Business Excellence Awards
The West Kent Business Excellence Awards are organised by the Courier Media Group in association with the West Kent Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Following a very successful launch year last year, 2009 marks the second year of the programme.
The awards are designed to recognise excellence, innovation, best practice and corporate and social responsibility in businesses throughout West Kent.

Official Launch
West Kent Leader is a new source of funding available to farmers, growers, foresters, rural businesses and communities to help secure a sustainable future for rural West Kent.
The Leader grant funding is made available under the Rural Development Programme for England 2007-2013 (RDPE) and is funded by Defra and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

ANNUAL CONFERENCE PLANNED FOR OCTOBER 2009
The Partnership has staged an annual conference to support various sectors of the West Kent economy. Our next conference is planned for October 09 and will be around visioning for the new investment strategy.
Previous conferences have had a focus on rural business and tourism.
